I am Ana Belén Barrio and I am a Sworn Translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, as well as a Chartered Linguist under a title awarded by the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK.

I lived in the UK for 15 years, have an MA in Translation from the University of Salford and have completed several legal and financial translation specialization courses.

In the nearly twenty years I have been working as a translator I have gained extensive experience in legal and financial translation, completing projects for a large number of companies and international organisations. At present, I focus on official sworn translations.

I always try to do the translation myself, but sometimes it is not possible due to the high number of bookings. However, all my coworkers are Sworn Translators appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, so you can be confident your translation will be valid for the Spanish authorities.

As a member of the Professional Association of Legal and Sworn Translators and Interpreters in Spain and the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the United Kingdom, I adhere to the following professional codes of conduct:
